FREE RELIEF: One club length from nearest point of relief but no nearer the hole from obstructions such as: Asphalt cart paths, drainage grates, sprinkler heads and ant hills. Free relief only from the large rocks along the screenings path to right of #17 fairway.
All penalty areas are played as lateral relief, red lines or grass edge defines the margin of the penalty area. If your ball goes into the penalty area your options are: a) Play it without a penalty and play from the penalty area; b) replay stroke from original spot where you hit from with a one stroke penalty; c) drop within 2 club lengths no nearer the hole where the ball last crossed the boundary; d) drop behind the penalty area keeping the spot where the ball last crossed the penalty area in line to the pin as far back as you wish. You can then drop within one club length width of either side of that line.
Do not play from Condo properties. White stakes designate property lines and mark out of bounds.
Drop areas with one stroke penalty on holes #2 (adjacent to cart path), #3 (behind the green), #12 (drop zone is next to cart path beyond water-this drop zone may only be used when an approach shot lands on an area passed the water and falls back into the penalty area. Players do have the option to hit from the penalty area or drop a ball in the drop zone with a 1 stroke penalty. Any other approach shots that go in the water should be treated as a penalty area with the options explained under the #2 rule) & #15 (if a player hits their ball left of the cart path, they may drop a ball in the drop zone-this area is located just before the left bunker).
Shell Beds and Shell Paths: The shell rings around the trees and the shell paths used throughout the golf course are played as natural waste areas. Please play the ball down out of these areas and you may not take free relief. You may take a practice swing and you may clean debris away from your ball as long as your ball does not move.
Out of Bounds is defined by white stakes along condo lines, property fences throughout the course as well as white stakes on hole #16 along the right side of the hole. If players are playing on hole #17 and hit on the right side of the out of bounds stake on hole # 17, there is no penalty. For players that hit their ball out of bounds, they have two options a.)Shots that come to rest out of bounds must be replayed from the previous location with a penalty of 1 stroke; b.) players can drop a ball in the fairway next to the spot where the ball last crossed the out of bounds marker no closer to the hole with a 2-Stroke Penalty (this rule also applies to lost balls).
Local Rule: Players have two options when they hit a ball out-of-bounds or lose a ball on a hole: 1.) they can hit another ball from the original spot with a one-stroke penalty, or 2.) they can drop a ball in the fairway parallel to the point of entry of the lost ball or ball that went out-of-bounds with a 2-stroke penalty.
Please remember to fix your ball marks and divots.
Travel on paths as much as possible and stay on fairways rather than on rough.
Please keep all 4 tires on car paths at all times.
